You can delete your LineHQ sign-in yourself, from the app or the web dashboard. Closing a whole business account — releasing its numbers and ending billing — is a separate, deliberate step, and this page explains both.
On a phone system these are not the same, and people are often surprised by the difference, so we spell it out before you do anything.
In the LineHQ mobile app:
On the web dashboard, the same option is in Profile.
Your sign-in stops working immediately. This cannot be undone — if you need access again, an owner on the account has to invite you back.
These belong to the business account, not to your personal sign-in, and they stay with the business:
Because the numbers have to be dealt with first, this one goes through us. Numbers can be ported out to another provider if you want to keep them, or released if you do not — and a released UK number cannot be recovered, by us or by anyone else.
Email privacy@linehq.co.uk from the address on the account, or write to us using the details on our contact page, and say you want to close the account. We will confirm what will be deleted, sort out the numbers with you, and then remove the account. We aim to respond within a few working days, and to complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming it with you.
You do not need an active login to make this request — if you have already deleted your sign-in, or lost access, email us and we will verify you another way.
Deleting an account does not wipe everything instantly, because some records we are required to keep and others expire on their own schedule.
Backups are deleted on their own rotation, so a copy may persist there briefly after live data has gone.
Deletion is one of several rights you have under UK GDPR — you can also ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it. Our Privacy Policy covers all of them, along with how to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are not happy with how we have handled a request.
